Dinnseanchas

2024 – 2025

 Dinnseanchas is an innovative arts and ecology research project commissioned by Hometree and funded by Creative Ireland. In parallel with six other artists, William is working within a community along the Western coastal uplands of Ireland.

The artist is meeting hill farmers on the Cork-Kerry border who have or still do work the land in various capacities. Each have experienced radical changes in their lifetime, and ones that might give to perspective on our emerging challenges in adapting to climate change.  The artist, alongside fellow Dinnseanchas artists, will share his exchanges and collaborations with the communities through public gatherings, events and during Hometree’s annual Summer School in Ardnaculla, County Clare in 2025
